Our National Movement

602172_block_play_89.jpg City ACES seeks to create a national movement, progressing from city to city, implementing our City ACES Mentors Program (CAMP), harvesting local athletes (NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, etc.) and local mentoring resources (YMCA, Big Brother/Big Sister, Boys and Girls Club, etc), to build a network helping students and communities aspire to academic and life achievement.

Our approach is considered to be a grassroots movement in the sense that we utilize our City ACES Mentors Program (CAMP) to partner with local civic organizations to match students with competent, relatable, proficient, and accessible mentoring adults. It is preferable to harvest these “locals” because too often the page is turned before locals take ownership of the youth and educational institutions that define their community. As individuals become evermore involved in the activities that shape their youths daily realities, they will simultaneously take increasing pride and responsibility to ensure that each child within that particular locale is given every opportunity to succeed.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us… your playing small does not serve the world…we are all meant to shine, as children do.”
-Marianne Williamson
