As a result of attending our event, students will begin to recognize that success in life requires planning ahead, often many years in advance, with education being a constant factor leading to higher probabilities of dream attainment. In addition, the students will realize that it is okay to desire academic excellence, because many of the heroes they see on television also had to walk the same path laid out by education.

Given the importance of education in shaping perspectives on issues of self, and the world at large, City ACES emphasizes motivational intervention, via professional athletic involvement, and mentorship intervention, through partnerships with local groups and organizations. Participants begin to become aware and understand the power of education, how to overcome societal barriers, and the power of words and actions.
