Our Mission

City ACES seeks to build the esteem among youth, and reveal the boundless possibilities that a dedication to education can present. City ACES is committed to advancing the “coolness” of school by having the paragons of “cool”, i.e., athletes and those associated with professional sports, explain:

1. The role education played in the paths they took to make it to their respective associations and leagues
2. How truly difficult it is to make it to the “big leagues”
3. How short lived a professional sports career may be, and the importance of having backup plans
4. How valuable a good education is once they make it to the big leagues, and even more so, when they leave.

City ACES will also establish, as well as maintain, guidance and mentoring structures within the schools visited once our initial assembly is complete. Furthermore, we will serve by engaging local civic organizations to be a part of the event production, and continue the mission of our organization through our City ACES Mentors Program (CAMP), and local leadership.
