Professional Athletic Figures, Inspiring the Youth, Transforming Communities, and Shaping the Future through Powerful Motivational Speech and Action

City ACES (Athletes Changing Expectations) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to working with Middle-School aged youth residing in underperforming school districts, and distressed communities, across the United States. City ACES seeks to instill a sense of purpose and esteem within these children, and aid them in realizing their full potential through education AND educational incentives. City ACES approach is to “harvest” local, exemplary, and recognizable professional athletic figures (NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, etc.) to engage in short term commitments at schools within their communities, speaking on the virtues of educational attainment, the role education played in their life journey, and instilling the need to treat education as Plan A, with all subsequent career paths being predicated on a well educated individual.

City ACES also seeks to simultaneously “harvest” local civic organizations (YMCA, Big Brother/Big Sister, Boys and Girls Club, etc) to “close the deal”, through long-term mentorship, providing a guiding hand for the children as they progress towards High School, and ultimately College. To this end, we created our “City ACES Mentors Program” (CAMP), to integrate these organizations into the event planning and production process, ensuring that our entire program is a collective effort, utilizing every willing member of the community, and paving the way for total community transformation.
